Reducing Wolf-Livestock Conflict

.Range Stewards
The use of traditional range riders has proven successful in wolf-livestock conflict reduction in other parts of the western United States and Canada that have dense populations of wolves and other large carnivores.  WC takes the concept of range riders to a higher more comprehensive level in what we call the Range Steward program.

Baseline Assessments
In cooperation with individual landowners and communities, WC provides comprehensive ranch and resource assessments, wolf-livestock conflict risk assessments, and planning and strategic development. We work to co-develop ranch-specific management strategies with multiple co-benefits in the context of wolf-livestock conflict risk reduction and increasing ranch resiliency.

Emergency Response
WC makes every attempt to respond quickly to changing circumstances on the ground. As such, we offer trained hands to assist communities and individual operations who may experience unanticipated wolf presence or threat.

Support Network
