Why is it that 27 years after the reintroduction of wolves into the Greater Yellowstone Area, we have yet to create a collaborative and lasting environment for wolves, livestock, and people to share the landscape and thrive? 

​The root cause behind the WHY is what Working Circle addresses. Practical strategies that reduce vulnerability to predation with benefits to ranching efficiency, efficacy, and economy provide a pathway to meet the decades-old coexistence challenge.  In addition, the approach we advance is long-term, resolving the unsustainable outpouring of resources in terms of money, time, and effort. Our comprehensive model is a win-win for all stakeholders. Together, we have the opportunity to lead the way in creating a new legacy in the West—one that promotes a brighter future for wolves, ranch families, and the working lands they call home.

Ranchers are not about wanting to kill wildlife, on the contrary we take great pride in providing healthy wildlife habitats and preserving open space from urban development. It is our lands that host the elk. deer and much of the habitat that wolves need to survive, and we just want to be able to survive ourselves.
